The Fusion Reactor unlocks in The Beyond. It brings Power to every home within 11 tiles, which lets houses reach level 9 once they have every earlier need. It employs 8 workers. Its upkeep is 12 gold per minute; with an empty treasury it runs at half strength.

Upgrades

Once it is finished, tap it and choose Upgrade to raise it a level, up to level 3. You pay up front; the work then takes a while, shown by the same bar as construction, and the Fusion Reactor keeps working at its old level meanwhile. From level 2 it wears its level on a dark plate with glowing digits. How upgrades work.
