Building Industrial Age
Power Station
Burns coal to light the city. Noisy and smoky — keep it away from homes.
In your city
The Power Station unlocks in the Industrial Age. It uses 18 stone per minute to do so. It brings Power to every home within 7 tiles, which lets houses reach level 9 once they have every earlier need. It makes nearby homes less happy, so keep it away from houses. It employs 6 workers. Its upkeep is 6 gold per minute; with an empty treasury it runs at half strength.
Upgrades
Once it is finished, tap it and choose Upgrade to raise it a level, up to level 3. You pay up front; the work then takes a while, shown by the same bar as construction, and the Power Station keeps working at its old level meanwhile. From level 2 it wears its level on an enamel house-number plate. How upgrades work.
