Side quest Medieval Age Coming soon
Road to the Mill
A hex-board puzzle about carriers and flags: lay roads from workshop to workshop so wheat becomes flour and flour becomes bread.
The wheat's in the fields, the ovens are cold, and every carrier in the valley is standing around a flag arguing. Lay me a road?
What it is
A small logistics puzzle with a big, satisfying moment: the second your road connects and the goods start to flow. Each board is a hex map of workshops with a flag at every door. Lay roads from flag to flag; each road gets a carrier who walks it back and forth with one good at a time, and every good finds its own way to the workshop that needs it.
How to find it
When it arrives, the quest will open in the Medieval Age, once a finished Windmill stands in your city. Miller Bran, who never has enough flour, will wait beside it.
How to play
- Drag from flag to flag to lay a road (or tap one flag, then the other). Roads cost road coins, and every board has its own budget.
- Tap a road to tend it: tear it up, hire a second carrier for a busy stretch, send one home, or rush an urgent good.
- Press Go to start the clock and Pause to stop it; while it's paused you can plan and change anything.
- A flag only holds a few goods; when it fills, goods queue and the road jams. Spread the load.
- There are five boards, from The First Furrow to The Whole Valley. Clearing a board earns a star; finishing fast and spending little earn two more. Clear all five, then head To the bakery!
Relaxed mode
With Relaxed mode on there is no time limit at all, so a board can never be lost: plan, run, pause and tweak at your own pace.
Rewards
Clearing the valley unlocks the Guild Banner, raised where the miller's road first connected, plus a one-off gift of food, wood and gold and a chronicle line. Your best stars stay with every board.
